Eu posso me considerar um cara sortudo por ter mantido essa conversa maravilhosa com esse pessoal do bem, e aqui vão meus mais sinceros cumprimentos para cada um deles:

Bem, como não posso dar muitos detalhes agora, resumo dizendo que Ellen e Ian surpreenderão muita gente num futuro muito breve. Seu trabalho é brilhante!

De qualquer maneira, eu não deixaria de registrar esse encontro fantástico, no qual conversamos por mais de duas horas, gravando tudo em inglês diretamente, e Elliot (na época Ellen) emocionado em diversos momentos.

A conversa girou em torno do meu ativismo contra as falsamente chamadas terapias de cura gay e minha saída do armário depois de ter sido pastor e sofrido muito enquanto atuava nesse movimento. Eu tive a oportunidade de contar a Elliot Page como foi a jornada para fora do armário e como me livrei de todas aquelas mazelas.

A gravação foi feita no bucólico bairro da Urca no rio de Janeiro em fevereiro de 2015.

I can consider myself a lucky man to have had such a wonderful conversation with those good fellows, and here go my most sincere compliments to each and every one of them.

In any case, I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to record this fantastic meeting, during which we talked for over two hours, recording everything directly in English, with Elliot (then Ellen) getting emotional at several moments.

The conversation revolved around my activism against the so-called gay conversion therapies and my coming out after having been a pastor and suffering greatly while involved in that movement. I had the opportunity to share with Elliot Page the journey of coming out and how I freed myself from all those struggles.

The interview took place in February 2015 in the bucolic neighborhood of Urca in Rio de Janeiro.
